Description

This tour takes you through hinterland of Dalmatia and Herzegovina to Mostar, a small picturesque town on the river Neretva, where the north meets the south, and east meets the west through the 16th century bridge. Visit the old Bazar, the Mosque, the old bridge from where you can watch the water dives and try some of traditional food like „burek“ or „baklava“. Mostar has long been known for its old Turkish houses and Old Bridge, Stari Most, after which it is named. In our war , most of the historic town and the Old Bridge, designed by the renowned architect Sinan, was destroyed. The Old Bridge was rebuilt and many of the edifices in the Old Town have been restored or rebuilt with the contribution of an international scientific committee established by UNESCO.

Afterwards we will continue our tour to Međugorje, a pilgrimage place, where Virgin Mary appeared in 1981. Relax in this spiritual place, and enjoy the walks towards the apparition hill.. The parish of Medjugorje was founded in 1892 and placed under the protection of St. James patron. Five years later the old parish church of St. James in Medjugorje was fully completed. In the summer of 1981 the church of Medjugorje became a point for the gathering millions of pilgrims from all over the world. People began to come, see and be convinced of the extraordinary events in Medjugorje and feel peaceful.  For pilgrims and those who are looking for something spiritual there is a Holy Mass and a visit to Mount of Apparation . The tour guide provides all the information you need to discover this area. After this beautiful expirience we go back. The trip can be adjusted according to your wishes.
